FAQs
1. Does forest bathing involve swimming or getting into water?
No, you immerse yourself in the woodland, taking time to soak in the benefits of nature. Walking slowly and gently into the forest area.
2. What will happen during the forest bathing session?
I will guide you on a slow walk through the woodland, exploring all your senses as I help you notice things in a different way. Taking time to switch off from the hectic outside world. Slowing down your thoughts and becoming calmer, less stressed, leaving the To Do list behind and having time for You
3. Can I bring my dog/children?
Unfortunately, not. Even the best-behaved dog can become a distraction.
I’m not trained to lead a group of children I’m afraid. The sessions are for those of 16 years and over.
4. Do I need to be physically fit?
5. What happens if it rains, or the weather is bad?
The changing weather is what helps to make each experience completely different and memorable in its own way. You must make sure you wear the correct clothing and footwear.
6. Do I need any special equipment or clothing?
You will be sent a checklist when you sign up for a forest bathing session.
Footwear – no matter the weather, you should always wear comfortable, closed toe, sturdy footwear. It is better if these are waterproof as the ground may get wet and muddy at certain times of year. Long sleeves and long trousers are a must. It’s best to wear layers as you will be walking at a slower pace than usual, so you can become cold, especially in the winter months.
Gloves, hat in winter and sun hat in summer.
As you’ll be invited to sit or lay down at some points (this is optional), you’ll want something to place on the floor to protect yourself from the forest floor.
7. Do we have to pay for parking?
8. Are there toilet facilities available?
9. How many people will be in a forest bathing group?
There will be no more than 10 people per group that run by myself.
10. Do you run private forest bathing sessions?
Yes I do for individuals and corporate companies. Please contact me for more details.
