What is Forest Bathing?
Forest bathing started in Japan in the 1980s, known as Shinrin-Yoku. “Shinrin” meaning forest, and “Yoku” meaning bathing/showering in.
Forest bathing is not going for a swim in the open lakes, rivers or streams in the wild.
During your session I’ll be your guide, allowing you to escape the hectic world, disconnecting from your devices and babbling daily thoughts of to do lists and deadlines. It’s a personal time in silence for you, but not meditation as you may think of it.
We’ll take a slow gentle meander through the woodland, to help relax and truly engage with your senses. During the walk I’ll guide you to really feel and see the woodland as you’ve never experienced it before.
Each forest bathing session is different, because you’re surrounded by the ever-changing landscape of nature, minute by minute, day by day. Your forest bathing experience will truly be your individual experience. It’s your personal journey on that day.
